“We just loved this establishment from top to bottom. Upon driving up, there’s a plethora of muscle cars in the parking lot. Once inside on this Sunday afternoon, we were greeted with Hi & welcome, sit anyplace you like; (I believe may have been the owner ). Our waiter came over quickly asking about our beverages & left us with a couple of interesting menus with food that would cater to just about anyone’s needs. Our strawberry milk shake was yummy, the curly fries were done to perfection & the cauliflower bites were just perfect, from the evenly sized bites to the tenderness of doneness, with or without the dipping sauce!!!”
— Lisa B“Such a fun spot! Yes, Drive-Ins still exist 😃 One pulls up and flashes the car lights and someone comes for your order. We, however, ate inside at the counter. Service was defiantly and fast. The Dagwood Burger was outstanding, as were the fries. Spend some time looking around at all the articles about the place. Like a little museum!”
— Tatiana Hoover“Absolutely LOVE this place. Great for families. Unique thin burgers(get a double). Thick milk shakes. Delicious homemade root beer and floats so full of ice cream! Great value. Service is very nice. Worth the drive.”
— Susan Davidson“Having grown up and lived in Bethel and Danbury all my life, I spent many of Saturday nights here at the car shows and would always get a clam basket as it’s easy to walk around with. Today, I decided to stop in for lunch while visiting the area. Dagwood Burger - a traditional staple that’s been synonymous when it comes to the Sycamore Diner. Cooked perfect and filled to the brim with toppings which is lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle, ketchup and mayo. They had a special today which came with fries and they were golden brown with a nice crunch to them. Service- I’ve known the family since we were kids as I was always here visiting Mr Gene Austin. Kathy and Pat are doing a remarkable job keeping it going and providing service with a smile. Very attentive with asking if anything is needed. Plenty of parking as it’s during the week in the middle when it’s slower.”
